We are transporting Scarano Boats latest aluminum creation from Albany New York to La Salle Illinois. Providing the permits are in on Monday the job of transporting her will commence. It is loaded now and measures 110 feet overall in length bumper to transom! With a beam of 15.8 wide and loaded out at a little over 14 feet tall it will be quite the job to get to Illinois.

Scarano Boat Building Inc. builds large boats and yachts in aluminum. They build both power and sail designs and up this point specializes in period boats. We have moved several of their boats up to this point and we are impressed with the level of craftsmanship these boats present.

    The new Canal Boat for Canal Corridor Association is loaded on the trailer and providing the permits are in, will be ready to transport on Monday. Loaded the truck and the canal boat are 110 feet long. It has been a big issue getting permits for this transport. This boat is 15.8 wide, and coupled with the overall length it is a logistical nightmare. This boat is loaded on a Waltron 53 foot trailer that is stretched out a full additional 16 feet.

For those of you who have not been following this epic story this canal boat was built by Scarano Boat Building in Albany New York. As you can see by the pictures of this large oversize boat it is going to be quite a job transporting this yacht. Finding places to park at night will be of major concern. We are restricted to daylight hours to transport this boat to La Salle Illinois.
