Customer referal letter

Jim and Ken, I just wanted to let you know how pleased my family and I are in the job you all did in getting my Yacht “KATHLEEN” from California to Conneticut. I was impressed with you knowledge of Mainship Yachts and the proof is in the pudding!! With out a hitch she arrived in excellent condition and unscathed. I will recommend you and your boat transport services to anyone I know whom may be in the need of your services of transporting yachts.     John Huckins

Hunter Sailboat Transport

This is a picture of the last Hunter sailboat we transported. Hunter sailboats are manufactured in Alachua FLorida and distributed to dealers nationwide. We transported this yacht from Alachua to Seattle Washington. This vessel was 49 feet long and on one of our specialized trailers loaded out under 14 feet tall. Being over 12 feet wide it required an escort while being hauled. Hays Marine Transport

powerboat transport

Currently due to the extreme weather we are seeing a delyed season for transporting powerboats from one location to another. This has been the strangest weather I personaly have ever seen for spring and has boat owners not quite ready to think about the upcoming boating season. I project a real busy season as when the weather does break there will be a abundance of boat transporting both sailboats and powerboats to boat owners desired vacation locations. In a normal year we are very busy moving powerboats south to take advantage of the cruising destinations found in a warmer climate. Hays Marine Transport

Yacht Transport

We are currently gearing up to transport a 65ft yacht from Albany New York to Oklahoma ciity, Oklahoma. This Yacht is very long and very high. We will be using escorts all the way plus needing a route survey to find a acceptable route to use to clear all the overpasses. We will continue to post to this blog as this project progresses. Yacht Transport

We just completed a Yacht Transport from Florida to California. The boat was a Seamaster 46, she was 13.10 wide and over 15 ft tall weighing 50,000 lbs. Transit time was 7 days plus some waiting time at the California state line due to some permiting issues. When they are this big there is allways something!! Transporting this Yacht was in the relm of what we do on a regular basis, as we specialize in transporting oversize yachts nationwide including Hawaii. Hays Marine Transport

Coast Guard Boat Transport

boat transport coast guard vessel

This is the largest boat transported by Hays Marine Transport to date. This Coast Guard Boat was almost 50 ft long, 17.9 wide and 17.11 loaded in height. She weighed 66,000 lbs. This boat was transported from Louisiana to California. The entire boat transport took three weeks including one week of route surveys and permiting. With a vessel of this size, logistics were everything and the one week of porvisional work to get permits really paid off as once we got rolling we rarly had to stop for any issues that arose.

Wooden Yacht Transport

wooden yacht transport

A few months ago we transported this Yacht from California to Washington state. This boat had been in the family since new, it was built in 1933. It was bought by a investment Corp. to restore and use as a cruise Yacht. She was 48 ft long and weighed 33,000 lbs. We took great care in her loading due to her construction of wood. Her builer, Stevens Yacht Corp. built her to very high standings and a testimony to both her excellent construction and the care and equiptment used in her transport she took on very little water when it went back into the water after a 5 day trip north. With the equiptment we use in our boat transport business, this kind of transport was right up our allie as we stretched the trailer out as long as we could to keep her keel in perfect alignment while we moved her. House Boat Transport

Powerboat Transport

I know houseboats are a breed of there own but I thought I would include this post on transporting houseboats in the Powerboat Transport section. We loaded this 47 Boatell Houseboat in Grand Rivers Kentucky yesterday after the flood waters went down a bit. She is going to Florida to be a second residence for a retired gentleman. This houseboat was 47 feet long over thirteen feet wide and she loaded out at 14 feet tall. With the 53 foot stretch trailer stretched out we were able to loaded her very low which kept the costs involved in transporting this boat as low as possible. We get involved in transporting large oversize boats, yachts, powerboats and sailboats quite often due to the specialized equpment we use.

Sailboat Transport

We just completed transporting a 49 foot Oyster Sailboat from Maryland to California. This sailboat weighed almost 50,000 lbs and was 15.2 feet when loaded. She had a 15 ft beam. Due to the nature of moving a sailboat of this size it took 9 days coast to coast to complete the boat transport. The owner was happy to get her to his new home in California. Smooth sailing Peter!!
